The Broad

The Broad is a contemporary art museum with free admission to most of its exhibits. It was named after Eli and Edythe Broad, who financed the $140 million building.

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures

The film museum opened recently in 2021. It houses over 13 million objects, and is the first large-scale museum of its kind in the United States.

Santa Monica Beach

The Huntington

The Huntington is a research institution containing an art museum, botanical gardens, and a library. It was established by Henry and Arabella Huntington in San Marino.

Malibu Beach Surfing

Malibu contains multiple beaches, some of which are famous for surfing. Inland, there are many trails, grasslands, canyons, and waterfalls ready for exploring.

Marina Del Rey

Marina Del Rey is a coastal community. It includes the largest man-made small-craft harbor in North America, making it a popular spot for water recration. It also contains calm beaches, lots of activities and events, and nearby restaurants and shops.

Los Angeles Arboretum

The LA County Arboretum and Botanical Garden has been featured in many movies and TV shows, such as Jurassic Park. It is 127 acres in size, located at what was the heart of historic Rancho Santa Anita.

Runyon Canyon

Runyon Canyon is a 160-acre park at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains. It has plenty of hiking trails and spots to look out over the city.

Griffith Park

A trail system with plenty of picnic tables and views of the surrounding neighborhoods. Some trails also go to the Los Angeles Zoo and the Griffith Observatory.

Entertainment

Los Angeles is known for being the center of the entertainment industry. There are plenty of amphitheatres, theme parks, clubs, and comedy shows all around the LA area.

Disneyland

Just a short drive from Los Angeles, you'll find one of the most iconic theme parks in the world. Disneyland and California Adventure are located in Anaheim.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Jazz at LACMA

There are many famous malls located in Los Angeles. If you're interested in shopping during your visit, there's plenty of shopping to do. Many of the malls in Los Angeles are beautifully-designed and are considered social hubs for many locals.

The Grove

The Grove is one of the best shopping centers in Los Angeles. It includes many popular brands such as Apple, Nike, Gucci, as well as a movie theatre and many restaurants.

Century City Mall

Recently remodeled, the Century City Mall has a very modern style with large cafeterias, very popular brands, and plenty of space to sit down and hang out.

Visit the world's leading fashion houses and brands in Beverly Hills at the iconic Rodeo Drive. It is known as the "intersection of luxury, fashion and entertainment."

Third Street Promenade

The Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica consists of three open-air, car-free blocks, all leading up to Santa Monica Place. The streets are lined with popular brands, restaurants, music, and seating.

Aquarium of the Pacific

California Science Center

Located next to the Natural History Museum and University of Southern California, the California Science Center includes many amazing exhibits, plus a 7-story tall IMAX theatre!

Legoland California

Legoland California is based in Carlsbad and includes many rides and attractions, plus a waterpark that's open during the summer months.

Adventure City

Adventure City is a smaller amusement park located in Stanton. In fact, it is one of the smallest theme parks in California. However, it still has plenty of attractions to enjoy.

Kidspace Children's Museum

Kidspace Children's Museum is a children's museum in Pasadena, located right next to the Rose Bowl. The museum is a nonprofit that aims to engage children emotionally, intellectually, and physically.

Sports

LA is considered the second-best sports city in the country with over a dozen major collegiate and professional teams. There are plenty of state-of-the-art stadiums, as well as historic stadiums that represent the team or school's past.

The Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers are considered to be one of the most successful and storied franchises in the MLB.

The Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are considered to be a strong team with 17 NBA Championships. If they're in season, consider watching a game at The Staples Center.

The Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers compete in the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

The Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers play in the recently-built SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

The Kings

The Los Angeles Kings have been consistently making it to the playoffs. They play at the Crypto.com Arena.

The LA Galaxy

The LA Galaxy has the league record for the winning the MLS Cup the most. They play at Dignity Health Sports Park.

The Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have been regularly ranked on of the top teams in the NFL. The Rams also compete at SoFi Stadium.

The Angels

The Los Angeles Angels play at Angels Stadium in Anaheim.
